Completing your master’s degree in speech-language pathology is a major milestone, and your Clinical Fellowship (CF) is where your education truly comes to life. At Aaris Therapy Group, we’ve designed a CF experience that supports where you are now while helping you grow into the clinician you’re becoming. If you’re a new SLP graduate looking for a clinical fellowship that offers meaningful mentorship and a team that genuinely invests in your development, you’ve come to the right place.
What Is a Clinical Fellowship in Speech-Language Pathology?
A Clinical Fellowship is a supervised professional experience required to earn your Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) through ASHA. During your CF, you work under the guidance of a certified SLP mentor to develop and refine your clinical skills across diagnostics, treatment, and documentation. Choosing the right CF placement matters; it sets the tone for your confidence, clinical style, and long-term career path.
Our CF Program Philosophy: Autonomy, Growth, and Confidence
At Aaris Therapy Group, we believe that by the time you’ve earned your master’s degree, you already have a strong clinical foundation. Rather than micromanaging your development, we prioritize autonomy with support, giving you space to grow while ensuring you feel guided and confident along the way.
We want our CFs to leave each week feeling more capable, more curious, and more connected to the work you were trained to do.
Our program supports growth across all core areas of the profession:
- Diagnostics and evaluation
- Treatment planning and implementation
- Clinical documentation
- Professional wellness and long-term sustainability
Mentorship and Supervision
Throughout your time at Aaris Therapy Group, you’ll be supported by a dedicated mentor who is invested in your growth. Your mentor will guide you through both the clinical and administrative aspects of your fellowship, including CF documentation for ASHA and state licensure.
You’ll receive:
- Regular feedback and ongoing support
- A minimum of two in-person meetings per month
- Structured observations with direct, actionable feedback
Beyond your assigned mentor, you’ll have access to an entire team of 13 experienced speech-language pathologists. This gives you access to a wide variety of clinical perspectives, specialties, and strategies as you navigate your CF year.
What Settings and Populations Will You Work With?
Our CFs have the opportunity to work in both school-based and clinical settings, helping you build a well-rounded and adaptable skill set early in your career. This dual-setting experience is a significant advantage as you build your professional identity as an SLP.
Diverse caseloads that expand your clinical toolkit:
- Traditional school caseloads with a focus on language disorders and articulation
- Students who use augmentative and alternative communication (AAC)
- Multidisciplinary approaches that deepen your collaboration skills
- Behavioral support environments where you’ll work closely alongside our behavioral therapy team
What Makes the Aaris CF Experience Unique?
- Exposure to both educational and clinical settings, with a wide range of student needs and clinical experiences.
- We take the ethics of our profession seriously and continually integrate that perspective into clinical development and team culture.
- With 13 SLPs on staff, you benefit from shared knowledge and collective experience that simply isn’t available in smaller practices.
- We’re invested in long-term relationships and love seeing our CFs grow into full-time team members who thrive in the many settings and opportunities Aaris has to offer beyond their fellowship year.
Who Should Apply?
We firmly believe in giving back to the speech-language pathology profession, and that starts with investing in the next generation of SLPs. We’re looking for CF applicants who bring a passion for learning, a growth mindset, and a genuine commitment to the clients and communities they serve. If you’re someone seeking a place where you’ll be challenged, supported, and genuinely valued as you grow into your career, we’d love to connect.
